About Winterfrost Farm
Winterfrost Farm is located at Skyline Stables in Radford, VA in the beautiful New River Valley of Southwest Virginia. Our unique equine rescue, Ride-A-Rescue, takes in, cares for, and rehabilitates abused, neglected, and surrendered horses. Care for our horses includes feed, supplementation, shelter, training, farrier services, medical care, adoptions services, and providing a sense of purpose and jobs for the horses. We are a 501(3)c non-profit organization, operating solely on volunteers, donations, and the proceeds from the services we provide to our community.
We stay busy year-round at the farm with daily operations, up-keep and maintenance, evening lessons, open houses, and scheduled or holiday trail rides. Winterfrost Farm's signature Ride-A-Rescue program is undoubtedly the most sought after service we offer, as it allows patrons the opportunity to ride one of our rescue horses. In addition to our signature trail rides at the farm, we often trailer our horses to special events around the New River Valley to host trail rides and spread the word about our rescue. 100% of the proceeds from the trail rides, lessons, leasing, and birthday parties goes toward caring for the horses.
