All activities or visitation is by RESERVATION ONLY! Please visit our contact page for info on how to schedule your interested activity
Your business and support during these hard times are more important than ever!
Come out for some fresh air and stress relief while helping "Save a horse, Ride-A-Rescue"!
Want to go horseback riding more than a couple times a month? Do you wish for that special one-on-one relationship with a horse of your own? Try leasing a rescue horse! Our affordable leasing program is designed to help cover the cost of feed and care for one rescue horse along with providing a reasonable option for people who want to enjoy a horse but are not ready to own one.

  • Partial leases are $200 per month. You can ride as often as you like, except when we have a need to use the horse for an event or trail ride. If this occurs, the Farm would have full use of the horse during that time frame. While we attempt not to use any of the leased horses for trail rides or events, it does happen occasionally. We, of course, provide as much notice as possible prior to using a leased horse. Additional leasing costs include:
    • Half the cost of farrier work (depending on the horse, costs typically range from $30-$50 every 6-10 weeks)
    • Dewormer ($8-$15 every 2 months)

For all leases, we spend time with you to find the horse that best fits your needs and experience. We require that all lessees take lessons during the first month of leasing. This ensures that everyone is comfortable with the match between horse and rider. During this time, lessons are offered at a discounted rate.
* Lease restrictions: Every weekend in October we are contracted to run trail rides at Sinkland Farms. During this time period, our clients have use of their lease horses on weekdays only. During the summer months, some of the horses also live full-time at an 8-week Boy Scout Camp. We work hard not to take leased horses to Boy Scout Camp, and exhaust all other options prior to taking a leased horse. Should a leased horse be taken to camp, the lessor will not be charged during that time period. We will notify all lessors of any other contracted events that arise, should their horse be needed. Lastly, we kindly ask that our lessors keep in mind that these activities are big sources of revenue which help to sustain the horses and the farm year-round.
