Why sponsor a rescue?
Sponsoring a horse is a great way to help if you have limited time and space making it hard to commit to the lifetime of horse care or leasing a horse. Our Ride-A-Rescue program relies on the generosity of donors to help offset the care of our rescue horses while they are rehabilitated and waiting for their forever home!

How to Sponsor a horse
To help one of our horses in need there are several different options available! Choose one of the options below or create your own donation to help support our rescue efforts.
For one time donations:
Donate $25: receive a one time photo of and story about the horse you are helping
Donate $50: receive a one time photo of and story about the horse you are helping along with a thank you gift
Donate $100: receive a one time photo of and story about the horse your are helping, a thank you gift and one free trail ride for one person at the farm.
For monthly donations:
Donate $25 monthly: receive a one time photo of and story about the horse you are helping and a meet and greet with your horse every other month
Donate $50 monthly: receive a one time photo of and story about the horse you are helping, a thank you gift, a meet and greet with your horse every other month and a free trail ride for one person
Donate $100 monthly: receive a one time photo of and story about the horse you are helping, a thank you gift, a meet and greet with you horse every other month, and a free trail ride for two people.

General horses sponshorship needs
Horses in our Ride-A-Rescue program or that we've helped
After being rehabilitated many of our horses are started back into training and eventually become part of the Ride-A-Rescue program or are adopted out. We currently have close to 70 horses in our care and they range from young to older, healthy or in need of extra support and part of the Ride-A-Rescue program or currently being rehabilitated. These horses are all in need of a sponsor to help with their general care and maintenance, witch consist of feed, hay, vet care, supplements and farrier care.
Cost to upkeep up our general needs
Healthy rehabilitated horses:
Hay for one horse for the month: $35
Feed for one horse for the month: $50
Feed, hay and pasture for one horse for the month: $100
Feed and health care for one horse for the month: $150
(This includes the cost of oats, hay, pasture for one month along with one farrier visit, one deworming and annual vaccinations)
Special needs and senior horses:
Feed and supplements for a special needs/senior horse: $150
(Includes: 1 month of oats, hay, pasture, and supplements.)
Feed, supplements and health care for a special needs/senior horse: $200
(Includes: 1 month of oats, hay, pasture, supplements, 1 farrier visit, deworming, and annual vaccinations.)

Guidelines for sponsorship programs
Please note that if you choose one of our sponsorship programs that include a visitation of your sponsored horse or a trail ride there are some rules that apply!
To visit your sponsored horse:
- You MUST set up an appointment prior to visitation since we are a fully volunteer-based organization!
- Scheduling of visitation is via email only, please email [email protected] to set up your appointment.
To redeem your sponsorship trail ride:
- Scheduled appointments are required to redeem your trail ride.
- Schedule of trail rides are via email only, please email [email protected] to set up your appointment.
- Please be aware that all trail ride rules and regulations still apply for sponsorship trail rides.
- Please do not expect to be able to ride the horse you are sponsoring. For your safety we work hard to fit you to a horse suited for
your size and skill level. This means your sponsored horse may not be the right horse for you out on the trail or may not be ready
for trails.
To visit your sponsored horse:
- You MUST set up an appointment prior to visitation since we are a fully volunteer-based organization!

- Please do not expect to be able to ride the horse you are sponsoring. For your safety we work hard to fit you to a horse suited for
your size and skill level. This means your sponsored horse may not be the right horse for you out on the trail or may not be ready
for trails.
